As the Los Angeles Angels are looking for another corner outfielder to sign this offseason, it appears that their name has emerged as a possible candidate to land Jorge Soler this offseason.

After opting out of the third year of his three-year deal with the Miami Marlins, the Angels are among five teams interested in acquiring the former 2021 World Series MVP, per Chris Cotillo.

In the 2021 World Series, Soler put together an incredible performance for the Atlanta Braves as he finished the series with a slash line of .300/.391/.800 and an OPS of 1.191.

Soler is a two-time World Series champion as he also helped the Chicago Cubs win their first title in over 100 years in 2016.

Soler was the American League home run leader in 2019 and is coming off an All-Star season with the Miami Marlins after hitting 36 home runs, 75 RBIs, and 24 doubles.

After missing most of the 2022 season for the Marlins due to back spasms, Soler played just 32 games in the outfield last season, spending a majority of his time as the team's designated hitter.

As of now, the Angels currently bolster an outfield that features Mike Trout, Taylor Ward, Mickey Moniak, and Jo Adell.

If the Angels were to sign Soler, he would likely split time with Anthony Rendon and Trout at DH, and spend minimal time in the outfield again.
