Shohei This! Ohtani That! Enough already! Whether you are a baseball fan or not, you hear the name Shohei Ohtani more than the name of the sport, and as everyone has their eyes on what Arte Moreno and the Angels should do with his contract situation, people tend to forget what the Angels could do without making any moves with Ohtani.

MLB Insider, Mark Feinsand, has the right mindset as he has considered an option that the Angels can use to enhance their pitching.

First things first, without Ohtani, the Angels' pitching rotation wouldn't be any better as the club's rotation is ranked 24th in the majors - and Feinsand understands that.

"Most consider the Angels to be more likely to sell than to buy, but if they can somehow creep closer to a Wild Card spot by the end of the month, it might prompt GM Perry Minasian to add to the rotation."

If Moreno doesn't want to trade away Ohtani, that's understandable, but your chances of re-signing the World Baseball Classic winner could be a little better if you get some help from the trade block and make somewhat of a run in the postseason.

Feinsand has suggested Chicago White Sox RHP, Lance Lynn, as a trade target for the Angels.

Currently holding up a 6-8 win-loss record that includes a 6.06 ERA, 133 strikeouts and a 1.43 WHIP in 108.1 innings pitched, the 2-time All Star has been a better pitcher than his stat sheet says.

Just an idea, but if the Angels want to get at least something before they lose everything from Ohtani's inevitable departure, they have about two weeks to make some moves within the trade block.

Decisions need to be made ASAP as there are lots of players on the rest of the league's eyes. You're on the clock, Arte!
