Angels Rumors: Recently Fired Exec Has Interest in Joining Halos' Front Office
Given the recent performance of the roster relative to the decisions made by the front office, many in the Angels organization sense that house cleaning could be in order for next year's team.
Part of this wholesale shift could include current GM Perry Minasian being ousted in favor of another executive who was recently let go from his previous team in the AL Central.
Former Chicago White Sox vice president Kenny Williams, who had talked about retiring after his contract expired in 2024, wants to continue in baseball and is privately expressing strong interest to join the Los Angeles Angels if an opening arises.

Minasian's decisions with the Angels in the past few seasons have been the ire of many fans due to a lack of attention to the farm system on top of veteran acquisitions that haven't panned out in the slightest.
Last season many thought that Minasian's choices to acquire good reliever depth with Ryan Tepera and Aaron Loup was a great way to bolster the bullpen after both came off of great seasons with their previous clubs.
Both of them struggled in their first seasons with the Halos and late game execution continues to be an issue under Minasian's tenure.
Likely handicapped by Arte Moreno's strict policy to stay under the luxury tax, this year marked a stark exception to that previous rule after the Halos surprisingly bought at the deadline with such trade pieces as Lucas Giolito and Randal Grichuk from other teams.
After the deadline additions didn't pan out and the team sacrificed portions of an already thin prospect pool, Moreno pulled the plug on this year after letting eight players on waivers, many of which were just acquired by the team just a month ago.
How much Minasian is to blame for this is unknown but what is a common feeling around the team is that Williams could emerge as his replacement in just a few months.
