Angels Rumors: Writer Predicts Halos Trade Brandon Drury for Prospect Utility Man
As the offseason is set to begin, there are many moves expected to made throughout the MLB.
Whether it's through free agency or the trade market the majority of major league teams will not look the same as they did when the year ended a couple of weeks.
With the anticipation of moves being made through the league, writers are predicted different trade proposals that can be made in the next couple of months.
Bleacher Report writer Joel Reuter is predicting that the Angels will make some moves of their own.
He thinks that the Halos could make a deal with the Giants to send a highly touted prospect to Anaheim.
Trade Proposal: IF/OF Tyler Fitzgerald acquired from the San Francisco Giants in exchange for IF Brandon Drury.
Tyler Fitzgerald provides a similar profile as a versatile infielder with some pop. The 26-year-old hit .292/.365/.511 with 22 home runs and 32 steals in 121 games in the upper levels of the minors before finishing the season 7-for-32 with two home runs in his first MLB action. Drury battled through a lot of injury in his first year in an Angels uniform.
In 127 games, Drury came up ten hits short of his career high and hit .262/.306/.497.
As the Angels look to move on from Shohei Ohtani and expressed interest in moving mike Trout, it would make sense for the team to move other veterans.
Drury has one more year left on the contract so it would make sense for the Halos to move him while his value is still high.
Whether the Angels do make a deal with the Giants or not, the team's front office will be making a lot of moves this offseason.
