Your Los Angeles Angels survive! The Halos take this weekend's series from the Kansas City Royals, 4-3. Both teams opened up with one run each in the first inning but failed to score after that until the sixth inning.

The Royals scored another run in the sixth to take the lead, and the Angels responded in a big way with not one, not two, but three solo homers that came back-to-back-to-back; courtesy of Taylor Ward, Mike Trout, and Shohei Ohtani.

Angels relief pitcher Austin Warren picked up his first win of the season, and Royals starting pitcher Jordan Lyles got the loss and moved to 0-4. Carlos Estevez got the save, which is his third of the year.

The Halos only collected seven hits to the Royals eight, but it was really the solo homers in the sixth inning that propelled the Angels. It was a great win to get them back to .500 and inch closer to the top of the AL West.

LA will continue their homestand and take on their division rival Oakland Atheltics for a four-game series starting tomorrow.

Southpaw Jose Suarez will be on the hill for the Angels and will look to get his first win of the year.
