The Los Angeles Angels win their second straight game against the Washington Nationals in another low-scoring game that saw the likes of Logan O'Hoppe and Brett Phillips active the entire time. They were able to prevail in a 3-2 win.

It was a pretty slow one overall as LA had Griffin Canning take the mound to start while Washington had Mackenzie Gore. Canning lasted five innings for the Halos and allowed two runs on five hits.

Brett Philips got his night started with the first run for the Angels in the third inning thanks to a throwing error from Keibert Ruiz. He actually stole third base first and then ran for home plate in a pretty wild play.

Have a look for yourself.

The Nationals then decided to get their own ball rolling the very next inning as Jeimer Candelario was able to score off of a single from Joey Meneses.

Dominic Smith then got his own run off of a Luis Garcia groundout.

However, the Angels responded at the bottom of the fourth inning and it was all due to the likes of Philips once again. His walk at the plate allowed the Angels to score their second run of the game.

Logan O'Hoppe continues to showcase skills at a young age as he drove in LA's final and most important run of the game with this single that brought in Brandon Drury.

The final score was indeed 3-2 and the Angels now improve to 6-5 on the year. Catch them in action again on Friday at 4:10 pm PT.
