It was an entire new day coming into the Angels' Monday outing against the Washington Nationals, a chance to redeem themselves after dropping their last series. However, we saw quite the opposite as numerous errors down the stretch saw the Halos fall 6-4.

A lot needs to change but especially LA's ability hold on to a lead. Being up 4-1 in the third inning should have led to better results.

Hunter Renfroe and Mike Trout got the first two runs in for the Angels at the hands of a Luis Rengifo single.

CJ Abrams answered back with his own single that allowed Dominic Smith to score.

Renfroe then continued showcasing his skills at the plate with a home run in the third inning followed up by a Gio Urshela RBI for Rengifo.

Numerous errors and umpire call changes then led to a Michael Chavis scoring Washington's second run of the day.

The score was now 4-2 in the fourth inning.

Alex Call and Lane Thomas then brought in runs number three and four for the Nationals after a single from Candelario.

Finally, to firmly take the lead from the Angels, Abram and Victor Robles both hit some sneaky grounders that gave Keibert Ruiz and Smith clear paths to score. That made it 6-4 and it stayed that way the rest of the game.

The Angels will get another shot at them Tuesday at 6:38 pm PT.
