Your Los Angeles Angels came out on top in their series opener against the Oakland Athletics. After dropping their season opener, LA only allowed one run in their next two games, and it was indeed a team effort.

But, of course, Angels superstars Shohei Ohtani and Mike Trout did their thing and propelled LA to a good series win. Trout and Ohtani each homered in their Sunday win that occurred in the 5th inning. Trout started things off with a moon shot to dead-center, extending the lead to 5-0. Ohtani then came up and sent one out of the park for a solo homer to right-center field, which ended up being the game's last run.

After the game, Angels insider Sarah Valenzuela shared some insight into what Japanese media say when both superstars homer in the same game.

Troutani. I don't know about you guys, but I really like that name, and so does Mike Trout.

Shohei and Trout are the two best players in the game and deserve a cool nickname. That's a perfect name, and it should stick even when they don't homer in the same game.

The two have been the best duo since Ohtani entered the league in 2018, and it's about time this duo has a combo name. Troutani will continue to impose their will and look to do so against the Seattle Mariners in their next series.
