Angles News: Mike Trout Makes History With Wednesday's Home Run
Angels superstar Mike Trout is struggling as of late. His numbers are down across the boards, and sometimes that comes with the nature of baseball. Nonetheless, Trout is still widely considered one of the best players in baseball.
The Halos are visiting the Baltimore Orioles for a four-game series and will look to stay above .500 against this hot Orioles team. Trout and the Angels dropped their third game of four on Wednesday night, 3-1, and their lone run in the game came courtesy of the 31-year-old as he hit a solo homer in the top of the fourth to tie the game. The home run not only tied the game, but it happened to be his 359th career home run in the same stadium he hit his first career home run.
That homer was also Trout's ninth home run of the 2023 season, but let's take a look back at his first-ever homer that came in the Oriole Park in Camden Yards.
The stance may have changed, but the home run ability remains the same. Trout has etched himself in baseball glory regardless of his lack of postseason appearances.
The Halos and their fans are lucky to have witnessed a generational talent like this for so long, and we hope he isn't done yet. It starts and ends with Mike to this day, and if he's right, the team will follow, and who knows what can happen from there.
