Ex-Angels Reliever Claimed on Waivers by AL Central Team

The righty pitcher has found himself a new home

Former one-time Angel Touki Toussaint has found himself a new home with the AL Central team Chicago White Sox. The team announced the addition of the right-handed pitcher via Twitter. 

The #WhiteSox have claimed right-handed pitcher Touki Toussaint off waivers from the Cleveland Guardians.

The White Sox 40-man roster increases to 40.

This will be Toussaint's fourth team of his career. The 27-year-old spent four seasons with the Atlanta Braves from 2018-2021 and then joined your Los Angeles Angels in 2022.

The 27-year-old was traded to the Halos for cash considerations from the Braves. he only appeared in eight games, starting in two games, going 1-1 with a 4.62 ERA, 29 strikeouts, and a 1.34 WHIP in 25.1 innings pitched. 

After his brief stint with the Angels, he signed with the Cleveland Guardians to a minor league deal and will now join the White Sox off waivers.
