After Angels catcher Logan O'Hoppe went down after singling in his final AB against the New York Yankees on Thursday, Angels fans thought of the worst. Well, bad news came barring down a while ago as O'Hoppe will be placed in the IL.

The young catcher was having a fantastic rookie campaign as he was slashing .283/.339/.547 with a .886 OPS and was one of the better hitters for the Halos early this season.

Chad Wallach will now get his first opportunity this season. The Cal State Fullerton alum will make the start today after appearing in 12 games with the Halos in 2022 in what was a forgettable 35 ABs with the team.

We're not sure how long Logan will be out, but we wish him the best and a speedy recovery.
