With the offseason still in full swing, a plethora of big leaguers make themselves available for interviews across the world of digital media.

Some are serial attendees for radio shows, on-screen appearances or even podcasts. Others are asked to come on for interesting comments on various happenings across the sport. For those who love to offer commentary on anything, it provides journalists with even more fat to chew on.

In the case of veteran pitcher Rich Hill, he was asked recently about the comments made by Los Angeles Angels third baseman Anthony Rendon.

With a bit of a laugh, Hill didn't exactly 'go at' Rendon -- though he went the complete opposite direction compared to his peer:

"I would like to see the season go all year. I think that would be great. Can't get enough baseball!"

Hill has been a fan favorite interview for quite some time. He's a very smart guy who often gives thoughtful and colorful commentary on various topics revolving around baseball.

This answer enabled him to deflect direct 'shade' towards Rendon while still getting his point across in a classy and understated way.

Angels fans might not be as forgiving. Rendon's struggles at the plate have widely been documented. After signing one of the most lucrative contracts in Los Angeles Angels history, it's safe to say he's failed to live up to the hype he brought from his time in Washington with the Nationals.

The hope is that Rendon can regain the productivity he once showed. At one time, he was one of the more prolific hitters in the game regardless of position.

With an inability to stay healthy, coupled with the reported public comments over wishing the season was shorter, Rendon desperately needs a bounce-back year to smooth things over and endear himself to the fan base.
