MLB Analysts Ponder Whether Angels' Hot Streak is Legit

The Los Angeles Angels are finally coming together and if it wasn't for two poor performances against a fiery Texas Rangers squad, we would be talking about them as the number one team in the AL West right now.
And yes, we don't want to get too ahead of ourselves considering they've shown glimpses before in prior years only to fizzle out to below .500 as the months go on. However, things are looking quite different this year and for a couple of reasons.
Back to back RBIs from Shohei Ohtani and Anthony Rendon.

Superstars Holding It Down With Or Without Each Other
One of the biggest reasons that the Halos have failed to see real success in the past is that despite having two of the best talents in the entire league, it felt they were always not taking the field together for one reason or another. It was usually due to an injury of some sorts that Mike Trout sustained and Shohei Ohtani would be left to fend for himself.
However, both stars have not suited up in numerous games and LA has been fine. They continue to shine even their star partner is not playing the LA's depth this year has allowed the likes of Ohtani and Trout to not have to carry such a heavy load and actually take a break every now and then.

Supporting Cast Is Growing Every Day
Look no further than cap space actually being spent the right way this past offseason as to why the Angels are playing such a good stretch of baseball right now. Outside of some poor pitching in certain games and some unforced infield errors, LA's stats are climbing up.
They are currently number seven in the league in batting average and number four in total hits. Their offensive production has been very impressive and it goes beyond just their stars. MLB Network experts pinpointed some of their favorite role players on the Angels currently.

What's in the cards for this star-studded roster?? 🔮 pic.twitter.com/HFnveSyXKh
"Hunter Renfroe is my magician because last night. homer to dead center and he's tied for number one in home runs with 38 since the start of 2022. That's his kind of production and he'll get you a gold glove in right field."

"The lover, I'm going to give to Brandon Drury because I think he loves the game so much. In all my time watching him, I've never seen him smile on the field, not once. And he came up huge for this team last night."
