In this story:

The Los Angeles Angels have two of the best ball players in the entire league, two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani and righty slugger Mike Trout. These two ball players are the engine that keeps this team going, and it's been a delight to watch these two players showcase their talent in Orange County.

However, baseball is a team sport, and these two alone have proven it is not enough to be a good baseball team. In Trout's 13 years in the league, he's only made the postseason once, while Ohtani has yet to experience postseason baseball. The two best players in the world can't do it alone; they'll need multiple players to help guide them to postseason glory, but who could it be?

Injuries have gotten in the way of the Halos for many years, and the front office has done enough to improve the team, but will it be enough? It's still early to determine that, but MLB experts from the MLB Network discuss who they believe could be the 'wingman' for the star duo, and here's who they think that player could be.

"I think [Anthony] Rendon has the experience. Rendon gives the entire lineup a different look. With Ohtani and Trout, you don't need to second guess who the other guy needs to be. He's great in the clutch, knows how to hit, and knows the situation. I think he could be that guy if he stays healthy."

"Hunter Renfroe. He could do it in a lot of different ways. He has ten home runs, 28 runs batted in, he's a really good outfielder, and he throws very well. He adds some thump in that lineup, and he posts up every day, to me, if Renfroe stays healthy, look out he's that third guy.

When they're both in the lineup, we've witnessed what kind of production they offer to the Halos; however, Rendon is always limited. In the possible 46 games, Rendon has only played in 30, while Hunter has played in 44 games. Your best ability is your availability, and Renfroe is the most available. Anyone on the Halos lineup can show up, but they need that consistent three, and they have yet to find it.

The entire team needs to step up if they want to make the postseason; we'll see who it'll be by then.
