New Angels Infielder Gets Glowing Endorsement from Multi-Time All-Star Teammate

Escobar's old teammate is going to miss him

The Los Angeles Angels made a potentially impactful move yesterday when they traded with the New York Mets for their infielder Eduardo Escobar. Escobar is set to join the Halos quite soon, and the fans and organization are excited to have him.

At times one person's gain is another's loss, which is the case with the Mets. They will be getting two Halos prospects in return, but the people of New York will miss Escobar, especially their star infielder Francisco Lindor.

The trade happened while the Mets were taking on their division rival Philadelphia Phillies on Apple TV's Friday Night Baseball. The broadcasting team was talking to Lindor in the third inning, and the four-time All-Star had nothing but great things to say about his now-former teammate.

Lindor and Escobar had been teammates for the past year and a half, and you could tell he meant a lot to him by Lindor's tone. The MLB is a business, but sometimes we forget these guys are real people with real feelings.

It sucks for players to lose friends on the team, but on the Halos side, we're happy to have Escobar on the team. With half of the Angels' infield depleted, the switch hitter could play a big role in the time being.

We can't wait to see Escobar don the Halos jersey soon and hope he does his part in adding to the win column.
