Shohei Ohtani may have moved on to the Los Angeles Dodgers this offseason, but the Angels still hold a special place in his heart. He played for the Halos for six seasons, and the team helped him get his start in the major leagues.

Regardless of the lack of success on the field, Ohtani will forever be a member of the Angels. He won two MVP awards during his time with the team, and the fanbase loves him.

Ohtani decided to show some love back to the Angels organization during his MVP speech on Saturday night. The biggest surprise in all of this was that he did so in English, and without his interpreter Ippei Mizuhara.

Mizuhara normally accompanies Ohtani to his speaking events, especially when they are in a more American eye. But Ohtani went up to accept his award without him, shocking everyone.

"To the Angels organization, ownership, front office and the entire staff, thank you for the past six years. I always appreciated your support and allowing me the opportunity to play this game I'm so passionate about."

It was an awesome job by Ohtani to do the entire speech in English. And it means a lot to the loyal fanbase that supported him for years to hear him mention the Angels.

Of course, he won the MVP award as a member of the Angels. But it was still nice to hear from him about the organization.

While many fans aren't happy that he decided to go with the Dodgers, they understand the rationale behind the move. Ohtani will always be an Angels great, and he can expect loud ovations from the fans when he comes back to Angel Stadium in September.
