Bregman To Have Unique Coaching Role At NBA All-Star Weekend
Alex Bregman, who has guided the Houston Astros to two World Series titles since 2017, will have a unique role during the upcoming NBA All-Star weekend in Salt Lake City, according to the Houston Chronicle.
Bregman, a two-time MLB All-Star, will serve as a coach for the annual Celebrity Game on Feb. 17. Bregman will coach alongside Lisa Leslie—a Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Famer and two-time WNBA champion — and rapper and actor Fat Joe as they guide Team Ryan.
The report states that other members of Team Ryan include: musicians Kane Brown, Cordae and Ozuna; actors Everett Osborne and Sinqua Walls; TV host Marcos Mion; WWE superstar The Miz; and Jimmy Kimmel Live correspondent Guillermo Rodriguez. The team will also have three professional sports standouts playing in 11-time MLB All-Star Albert Pujols, Pro Football Hall of Famer Calvin Johnson and WNBA star Diamond DeShields, who is the sister of former Astros prospect Delino DeShields Jr.
The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will be broadcast on ESPN.
