ARLINGTON, Texas - The New York Yankees are without their captain and 2022 American League MVP Aaron Judge after an early exit on Thursday. Judge left the game in the fourth inning and was replaced with Oswaldo Cabrera in right field.

Judge left the game with what was termed right hip discomfort by the team.

The captain had also aggravated his wrist in Wednesday's finale with the Minnesota Twins after taking a head-first slide. The Yankees dropped three of four games against the Twins during the series.

Prior to his exit, Judge was 0-for-2 with two strikeouts against the Rangers fifth starter Andrew Heaney.

It is unclear how much, if any, time will be missed with the right hip discomfort.

However, it is a big blow to the Houston Astros' American League rival.
