Houston Astros Power Back With Big Seventh Inning Against Braves
The Houston Astros looked to be in dire straits after the first inning of Friday night's contest with the Atlanta Braves at Truist Park. The Braves put up four runs in the first inning alone, but Houston never backed down or gave up.
It took until the seventh inning, but the Astros battled back with a three-run inning to tie the game at 4-4.
It started with a Yainer Diaz RBI-double that scored Corey Julks to make it 4-2. Ronald Acuna Jr, had a fielding error that allowed Diaz to advance to third.
A Jake Meyers RBI-single then scored Diaz to bring the score to 4-3.
Finally, Mauricio Dubon launched an RBI-double to center field to score Meyers from second to tie the ballgame.
This is the Houston squad that so often dominated opponents en route to a 2022 World Series title. It is an encouraging sign to see the fight in the squad as they vie for a huge win away from home.
