The Houston Astros are looking to extend their winning streak on Friday when they travel to Guaranteed Rate Field to take on the Chicago White Sox in the first of a three-game series.

The Astros are coming off a series win against the Los Angeles Angels and in doing so propped their record up above .500.

Houston is hurting on the injury front, especially when it comes to the starting rotation. However, reinforcements in the form of Jose Altuve for the lineup and Lance McCullers Jr. for the rotation could soon be on the way.

J.P. France takes the mound for the second start of his career on Friday. The Tulane University product threw 5.0 innings of scoreless baseball in his MLB debut last week against the Seattle Mariners.

He will face a struggling Michael Kopech of the White Sox.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:10 p.m. ET.

The game can be watched on AT&T SportsNet Southwest or streamed on MLB.tv if you are not in the local Houston market.
