The Houston Astros should be proud of their star outfielder Kyle Tucker and his performance during the World Baseball Classic. Tucker has been on a tear Saturday when he hit a double off of Luis Garcia and also recorded an RBI-single in the first inning before called out at second base when Astros teammate Jose Altuve applied the tag as Tucker came off the bag.

Even more impressive was Tuckers monster shot to the right field stands in the top of the fifth. His solo home run put Team USA up 5-2 over Venezuela in the WBC Quarterfinals.

The home run also came off of Houston teammate Luis Garcia who was on the mound for Venezuela.

It is a win or go home situation for Team USA and Venezuela with the winner taking on Cuba on Sunday in the semifinals.

Tucker's performance is an encouraging indicator of what to expect from the Gold Glove right fielder as the 2023 MLB season rapidly approaches.
