The Houston Astros seem to always have a flare for the dramatic.

It's something that has defined this so called "Golden Era" of Astros baseball that has seen this team turn into one of the greatest postseason teams of all time.

Seven ALCS appearances in a row is the longest streak in American League history. They've won their franchise's only two World Series titles and have been to four.

Time after time, this team seems to deliver no matter who is in the uniform.

But, once again, it was their superstar Jose Altuve who delivered the dramatic moment that put Houston up for good in Game 5.

Down 4-2 in the top of the ninth inning, the Astros were staring down a 3-2 series deficit.

Then Altuve, who hadn't registered a hit all game, delivered a three-run shot to left field that put Houston up 5-4 and head back home with a 3-2 series lead.

Considering the stakes of this game, that might have been the greatest win in this Golden Era's history.

Yes, it was in Game 5 of the ALCS and no, it wasn't in the World Series.

But, against their heated rival Rangers on the road, after a bases clearing brawl following a hit batter, ejections of reliever Bryan Abreu and manager Dusty Baker and a clutch homer from one of the franchise's greatest players.

Does it get better than that?

Playoff baseball is about moments that separate themselves from others that have taken place in this historic game.

It feels like the Astros always sense that moment and seem to deliver under that pressure every single time.

Altuve did on Friday night.

Now, Houston will have two chances to win one game and get back to the World Series to defend their title.

The legacy of this Golden Era continues to grow.
