The Houston Astros have tough free agency moves to make in the foreseeable future. Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker, and Framber Valdez will all hit free agency in 2024 or 2025.

Bregman will hit the market in 2024, while Tucker and Valdez will in 2025.

The three players are pivotal for the Astros' success and will need to be extended if they want to continue this dynasty they've built.

After Jose Altuve signed an extension from 2025-2029 this offseason, Houston indicated their plan is to contend during that time period.

For them to continue doing that, keeping Valdez, Bregman, and Tucker on the team seems logical.

General manager Dana Brown spoke with reporters and offered the latest on a potential Tucker offer, according to Bill Ladson of MLB.com.

"At some point, yes, we will make Tucker an offer."

Brown confirmed that the same will be done for Bregman.

"With Bregman this year, we are going to make him an offer at some point."

It's uncertain what Bregman and Tucker are looking for in terms of a contract. Bregman could be in the range of Xander Bogaerts, who signed an 11-year, $280 million deal.

Tucker should have a massive contract coming his way, too.

he recently turned 27-year-old slashed .284/.369/.517 with 29 home runs in 2023. He's hit at least 29 home runs in every season he's played more than 58 games in.

The Astros have allowed Carlos Correa and George Springer to walk in the past. It worked out for them, but in the long run, allowing star players to leave will catch up to them.

Tucker, one of the best players in baseball, is the one Brown and the rest of the front office need to get a deal done with as soon as they can.
