Houston Astros Unveil Very Colorful Spring Training Hats
The Houston Astros are just over a week away from having their pitchers and catchers report for Spring Training, followed by the rest of the team getting there on Feb. 19.
There is a ton of buzz surrounding this team heading into 2024.
The megadeal given to Josh Hader revived their seemingly dead offseason. Not making it to the World Series and losing to their division rivals in the ALCS brings a hunger to get back to the Fall Classic again.
Plus, it could be the last time some superstars put on an Astros jersey.
Houston will get their first taste of Astros baseball during Spring Training when they can see the established stars play again, while also seeing the future of the franchise out on the diamond as well.
They'll also be sporting a new look down in Florida.
That is quite the hat.
It differs from the dark navy and black backgrounds they've worn in the past. This look that has light orange on the cap and regular orange on the bill is the first time Houston has sported double-orange since their colors changed after 2012.
The patch on the side with the palm tree are on all the teams' hats who are competing in the Grapefruit League down in Florida.
This look is certainly one that will have fans divided.
Based on the responses to the unveiling, some enjoy the new look and some are critical of it.
Either way, the Astros will be sporting the double-orange down in Florida for Spring Training as they get ready to chase their third World Series title.
