How to Watch, Listen, Pitching Matchups For Houston Astros vs. Atlanta Braves
The Houston Astros seem to be bouncing back just a bit as they prepare to host the Atlanta Braves in a three-game series that starts on Monday at Minute Maid Park.
The Astros (6-11) won their series with the Texas Rangers over the weekend, as they won the final two games, including an 8-5 win on Sunday that saw Jose Altuve hit two home runs. The Astros’ bats woke up in the series, as they outscored the Rangers 25-19 in spite of giving up 12 runs in the series opener.
Houston hopes to get a couple of its injured pitchers back soon. While 41-year-old Justin Verlander won’t pitch this series, the path appears to be clear for him to re-join the rotation when they head to Washington to face the Nationals on Friday.
Framber Valdez will play catch soon, which could be a good indication that he’ll be back before the Astros go to Mexico City to face the Colorado Rockies.
Altuve now leads the team with five home runs and a .382 batting average, while Kyle Tucker has 13 RBI and Yordan Alvarez is right behind him with 12.
Cristian Javier and Ronel Blanco leads the Astros with two wins each, while Josh Hader only has one save in two opportunities.
