The MLB regular season isn't the only one that is winding down.

Minor Leagues across the country are also seeing their seasons come to a close with awards and honors being handed out to the top prospects in their leagues.

The Houston Astros had three of their prospects at the Single-A level get selected as Carolina League All-Stars.

Starting pitchers Jose Fleury and Tyler Guilfoil were two of the four starters selected to the team, alongside their teammate Zach Cole in the outfield.

They were tied for having the second most selections, only trailing the Tampa Bay Rays who had four of their players voted on as All-Stars.

This was the second season of professional baseball with the Astros' organization for Fleury. He was signed out of the Dominican Republic and played Rookie ball in 2022.

This was his first season at Single-A, starting 14 of the 26 games he appeared in, accumulating a 4-3 record with a 3.65 ERA.

The 21-year-old is ranked as the No. 24 overall prospect in Houston's pipeline.

Guilfoil was selected by the Astros in the eighth round of the 2022 MLB Draft out of the University of Kentucky. He is not currently ranked in their Top-30 prospects list, but worked his way into the High Single-A level this year.

The 23-year-old righty started nine out of 18 games he was in at Single-A, finishing with a record of 3-3 with a 2.74 ERA. He's also a big strikeout guy, averaging 1.47 strikeouts per inning.

His promotion to the next level of the minors came in late August.

Cole is another one of the talented outfield prospects that have come up through this franchise's minor league system.

After being taken in the 10th round of the MLB Draft in 2022, he's another player who worked his way up through the ranks pretty quickly this season.

At Single-A this year, he had a slash line of .265/.397/.494 with 11 home runs and 46 RBI before being moved up to High Single-A in mid-July.

Cole is the No. 10 prospect in the pipeline and has flashed power in his young career.

It's a good showing from Houston at the Single-A level who continues to be told their pipeline is the worst in the MLB.
