Glen Kuiper will not return to A's broadcasts, an NBC Sports California spokesperson told the San Francisco Chronicle on Monday. The longtime voice of A's games on television, Kuiper had been suspended after using a racial slur on the team's pregame show while attempting to talk about his visit to Kansas City's Negro Leagues Museum

Kuiper had been suspended while an investigation into the incident was underway, and the determination today was to let him go.

The Athletic is reporting, "A source briefed on the situation said the decision was based on a variety of factors, including information uncovered in the internal review."

Glen Kuiper began broadcasting games with the A's in 2006. Since the suspension, longtime minor league play-by-play broadcaster Johnny Doskow has been the main voice on A's broadcasts, with Vince Cotroneo also getting in there for a few games when needed.

The two even switched off during a game, going between radio and tv, when Ken Korach had a scheduled off-day last week.

This story will be updated as it develops.
