Bruce Bochy will be spending the week in the Bay Area where he won three World Series championships with the San Francisco Giants in a five year span. While his favorite memory of playing the A's in the Bay Bridge series during his tenure with the Giants was when they won the Bay Bridge trophy the first time, he also had some words for the A's fans that are attempting to keep their team in Oakland.

"I hope they keep trying."

The future Hall of Fame manager said he loved the time he had in the Bay Area, and the exciting games that were played against the A's at the Coliseum. "I feel for the fans that could possibly lose their team. I certainly don't want that, but that's not my area. But I do think of the fans."

These comments come just days after fans of both the A's and Giants came together for the second time in two weeks to "Unite the Bay" and chant "sell the team!" at the top of the fifth inning. While the A's fate isn't likely to be decided by one chant, with protest headlines being made seemingly on a weekly basis on the A's ballpark situation, one thing is becoming clear: A's fans are not and have never been the problem with the ballpark search.

The fans have shown time and again that they are here, and they love their team. It's too bad that John Fisher and Major League Baseball can't see the passion that they could be leaving behind in Oakland in order to make a quick buck in Las Vegas.

Nothing has been made officially official with the relocation process just yet, leaving some fans with hope for a miracle to keep their team. Until then, all they can do is keep trying.
