The Major League season is just weeks away, and the minors seasons follow close behind.

Ahead of the 2023 MiLB seasons, the Blue Jays formalized their minor-league managers and complete player development and high performance staff for the year. All 2022 managers of Toronto's six minor-league affiliates will return this year, though there are some changes throughout the system in pitching coach, hitting coach, and other roles.

Here are Toronto's minor-league managers for the 2023 season:

Triple-A, Buffalo: Casey Candaele
Double-A, New Hampshire: Cesar Martin
High-A, Vancouver: Brent Lavallee
Single-A, Dunedin: Donnie Murphy
Florida Coast League: Jose Mayorga
Dominican Summer League: Andy Fermin

The lone 'change' among these managers is the return of Candaele to the Bisons' staff. The veteran skipper was promoted to big league bench coach halfway through the 2022 season, joining MLB Manager John Schneider's staff with the Blue Jays. Jeff Ware, who was promoted to interim manager of Buffalo when Candaele joined the big leagues, has since joined the MLB team as bullpen coach.

Other coaching changes in the upper minors include the promotion of Matt Hague to Bisons hitting coach and the appointment of Tim Norton as Bisons pitching coach. Drew Hayes has also moved up two levels and will be New Hampshire's pitching coach for the 2023 season.
