Vlad Guerrero Jr. is not going unnoticed.

The Blue Jays first basemen is leading baseball in nearly every hitting statistic and has homered in three straight games. As of Monday, he is also leading the American League in 2021 All-Star voting.

Guerrero received more than 150,000 more votes than any other player in the American League, and nudged out Atlanta's Ronald Acuña Jr. for the overall voting lead. Toronto's first basemen has earned more than half the votes cast for the American League 1B representative so far.

Three of the four leading vote getters in the MLB are currently 23 or younger, including Guerrero, with Mike Trout being the lone veteran vote leader.

Toronto's Marcus Semien is also leading the second base voting with 34% of the vote, ahead of Houston's Jose Altuve and New York's DJ LeMahieu. A 2021 All-Star appearance would be the first honor for both Semien and Guerrero.

In 2021, Major League Baseball will have a two phase All-Star voting process. The top three from each position in the first phase of voting (top nine in the outfield) move on to a second phase, where voting is wiped clean and fans vote on the All-Star starters from the finalists.

From the first wave of voting results, five Blue Jays would move on to phase two voting. Guerrero and Semien are leading their votes, while Bo Bichette, Teoscar Hernandez, and Randal Grichuk are all in contention at their respective positions.
