'We're Never Going to Quit': Charlie Montoyo Reacts to Jays Win over Boston

Charlie Montoyo was proud of his team's late-inning efforts in Sunday's series-clinching win.

The Blue Jays turned in yet another comeback win in Sunday's 9-8 victory over the Boston Red Sox.

After starter Hyun Jin Ryu was roughed up, the Jays trailed 7-2. But a late-game rally—topped off by George Springer's three-run home run in the eighth—led Toronto to an electric victory.

"After playing 18 games in 17 days you go 'Okay, we had a great homestand, alright, Boston's gonna win today, they got it,'" Montoyo said.  "No, not this team. They keep fighting.

"This isn't always going to happen, but we're never going to quit. They're never going to quit."

The Blue Jays are 9-2 since returning to Rogers Centre.
