Stripling Would 'Love Opportunity' To Start In Toronto Return

Blue Jays starter Ross Stripling would be in line for a regular rest start at Rogers Centre on Friday

Ross Stripling wouldn't take the opportunity lightly.

On regular rest, Stripling could be set to start the Blue Jays home opener return game on Friday against the Kansas City Royals.

"If I'm the guy that gets the ball that's gonna be awesome," Stripling said.

Stripling has one career start at Rogers Centre, a six-inning, one-hit performance against the Blue Jays back in 2016. In Sunday's start against the New York Mets, Stripling finished with one run in five innings pitched, allowing just five base runners, and striking out six.
