Braves 'Spring Breakout' Game versus Red Sox Prospects to be Broadcast On MLB Network

The Atlanta Braves are sending their best prospects up against Boston's, and we'll get to watch.

There's typically not much of a spring training television broadcast schedule, but MLB is giving us one additional chance to watch the Atlanta Braves in Grapefruit League action.

At least, they'll be Atlanta Braves in the future.

The 'Spring Breakout' game between Atlanta and the Boston Red Sox, occuring on Saturday, March 16th, is set to be carried on MLB Network and Red Sox broadcaster NESN. Scheduled for 1:05 PM ET, it's getting the television slot on MLB Network over the other option at that time, Philadelphia Phillies at Detroit Tigers, which will only be available on MLB Digital platforms (MLB.com, MLB.TV), Tigers.TV and Phillies Radio.

It's a coup for both Atlanta and Boston, as those are two organizations that are not considered to have great farm systems. Atlanta's system is full of pitching, with questions about impact hitters, while most of the Boston system consists of infield talent, with a dearth of impact arms in the organization.

Just looking over the Braves farm system and, here's a potential defensive alignment you could see for the Braves against Boston on March 16th:

C Drake Baldwin
1B David McCabe
2B Luke Waddell
SS Ignacio Alvarez
3B Sebin Ceballos
OF Isaiah Drake
OF Cody Milligan
OF Luis Guanipa

SP Spencer Schwellenbach, with pitchers Owen Murphy, Jhancarlos Lara, and two others - maybe Drue Hackenberg and Cade Kuehler - being used to finish the planned seven innings.

Full Spring Breakout rosters, which are based off of MLB Pipeline's Top Prospects list for the team, will be revealed March 7 at 11 a.m. ET on MLB Network.
