Braves Briefing: Everything you need to know about the ALl-Star Game and Atlanta's MLB Draft

It took eight Atlanta Braves to help snap the NL's nine-game losing streak in the All-Star Game.

The National League won an exciting 3-2 showdown in the All-Star Game in Seattle where eight Atlanta Braves were able to celebrate the victory. It snaps the second-longest winning streak in All-Star Game history. The longest was 11 straight wins by the National League from 1972-1982.

Here's what the Braves All-Stars did Tuesday night.

Ronald Acuña Jr almost went long to leadoff for the NL but was just short. He struck out in his other plate appearance.

Sean Murphy showed off his arm by throwing Randy Arozarena at second.

Orlando Arcia struck out and was thrown out at first in his two appearances at the plate.

Matt Olson replaced Freddie Freeman and struck out in his only plate appearance.

Austin Riley hit a single against Yennier Cano. He fouled out in his other plate appearance. He was a key part of a double play in the eighth inning.

Bryce Elder was not available after starting against Tampa Bay on Sunday.

Spencer Strider did not pitch after starting on Saturday.

We wrote it

Braves Today's Lindsay Crosby recapped the third day of the MLB Draft. He wrote the following about Atlanta's draft pool situation.

The next steps are signings: Atlanta's got a draft pool of $8,341,700 (+5%) to spend on signing these 21 players - only players within the top ten rounds count against the pool unless a player from rounds 11-20 signs for more than $150,000 - any excess over that amount counts against the pool but with mostly college seniors, that's not expected to come up.
The downside to this: Atlanta's going to need to make some roster moves as signings happen to keep themselves under the domestic reserve limit of 180 players. There will be minor leaguers released in the coming weeks as teams sign their draft picks.

Here's his full recap.
