Atlanta Braves vs San Diego Padres Pitching Breakdown

Returning for the Braves for tonight's contest is ace Max Fried. The lefty has faced the Padres three times in his career, with a 2-0 record and an 2.05 ERA. He's struck out seventeen batters to only two walks, and pitched a complete game with three hits and no runs against them in September of 2021.

Opposing Max Fried is Ryan Weathers. The 23 year-old is 1-0 on the season with a 2.70 ERA, notching a win against the Mets and having a no-decision against the Diamondbacks. He's pitched ten innings on the season, with three walks and five strikeouts. The lefty has one appearance against Atlanta in his career, a relief appearance the day after Fried's complete game shoutout, where he gave up one run on two hits across two innings, striking out three.

Tonight's game is a nightcap for Braves fans, with first pitch scheduled for 9:40 ET. The game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports South, and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
