The Atlanta Braves are taking their division-leading standings on the line and heading to Chicago, where it'll be a homecoming of sorts.

Atlanta traded six different players to Chicago this offseason, with position players Nicky Lopez and Braden Shewmake and pitcher Michael Soroka being the major leaguers on the roster that previously suited up for the Braves.

Charlie Morton looks to greet the position player duo with his signature curveball and get the Braves back in the win column, but offseason signing Chris Flexen is standing in Atlanta's way.

Lineups for the Atlanta Braves and Chicago White Sox on Monday, April 1st

Here's how Atlanta will line up for the contest:

RF Ronald Acuña Jr
2B Ozzie Albies
3B Austin Riley
1B Matt Olson
DH Marcell Ozuna
CF Michael Harris II
SS Orlando Arcia
C Travis d'Arnaud
LF Jarred Kelenic

This is Morton's first start of the season for Atlanta. The 40-year-old was 14-12 with a 3.64 ERA for the Braves last season, making at least 30 starts for a third consecutive season. He's started exactly once against the White Sox since coming to Atlanta, pitching seven shutout innings last July with four strikeouts and one walk in a 9-0 Atlanta win. One position player to watch today is backup catcher Martin Maldonado, who has faced Morton 15 times and has a .467 batting average against the veteran.

Here's Chicago's lineup today:

LF Andrew Benintendi
3B Yoan Moncada
CF Luis Robert Jr.
1B Andrew Vaughn
DH Gavin Sheets
SS Paul DeJong
2B Nicky Lopez
C Martin Maldonado
RF Dominic Fletcher

Flexen, an offseason signing for the White Sox, went 2-8 with a 6.86 ERA as he spent time with both the Seattle Mariners and the Colorado Rockies after being traded in July. Owing to the first three years of his career coming with the New York Mets, he's familiar with Atlanta, having faced them four times and going 0-1 with a 6.75 ERA in those eight innings (one start, three relief appearances). The only Braves hitter with more than three plate appearances against Flexen is first baseman Matt Olson, who is 5-15 with one RBI.
