Braves Briefing: The Atlanta Braves have won seven in a row

Here's a look around MLB from an Atlanta Braves perspective.

Seven games, seven wins for the Atlanta Braves.

After sweeps against the Cincinnati Reds and the Kansas City Royals, the Braves took the first game of the series in San Diego 2-0 over the Padres Monday night.

Max Fried is off of the IL

After Fried was activated off of the IL before Monday's game, it allowed the Atlanta Braves to look a little more healthy when it comes to guys on the IL. Here's an updated look at the Braves' IL.

CF Michael Harris - 10-Day IL

RP Raisel Iglesias - 15-Day IL

RP Collin McHugh - 15-Day IL

RP Lucas Luetge - 15-Day IL

C Travis d'Arnaud - 7-Day IL

SS Orlando Arcia - 10-Day IL

It will be interesting to see what the Braves lineup looks like once d'Arnaud, Arcia, and Harris return.

We wrote it

You can't discuss the hot streak that Atlanta is on without bringing up Ronald Acuña. In the takeaways I wrote from Monday's action, the outfielder continues to add to his impressive season.

It seems like every night, a new stat about Ronald Acuña's production in 2023 pops up. After tonight's game, Acuña is 2nd in all of baseball with 54.4% of his balls in play being over 100 mph, right behind Blue Jays 3B Matt Chapman and right ahead of Yankees slugger Giancarlo Stanton.
Acuña reached base with a leadoff double and would eventually score thanks to a homerun by Austin Riley, finishing 3-4 on the night. These were the only two runs in the contest.
