WATCH: Orlando Arcia robs Masataka Yoshida of hit, possibly ends long hitting streak

The Atlanta shortstop is having a big night all around.

Orlando Arcia really hasn't missed a beat, has he? After a hot start was interrupted by a broken wrist, the Braves shortstop returned to the lineup Sunday and across two games has picked up right where he left off. At the plate tonight, he's 3-4 with an RBI and a run scored. That would be two RBIs if this hadn't happened on what became a ground-rule double.

That nice snag ultimately did cost the Braves a run, as Michael Harris II was eventually stranded on third base. But it wasn't as nice a grab as this.

This was Arcia robbing Boston left-fielder Masataka Yoshida of a single, which will likely bring an end to his 16-game hitting streak. More importantly, it kept a runner off the bases in an inning where the Red Sox would make a little noise against A.J. Minter and eventually score a run. The game moves to the bottom of the eighth with Atlanta leading 8-3.

Tomorrow night wraps up the short two-game series with the Red Sox. First pitch at Truist Park is again set for 7:20 ET, and the telecast with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin is available on Bally Sports South. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on WIFN 1340 AM/103.7FM or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
