WATCH: Matt Olson smacks his 50th home run of the season

Matt Olson is the first player to 50 bombs this season.

Matt Olson hits his MLB-leading 50th home run that got the Braves back in the game against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Olson already has two homers in this game and has four RBI's, helping the Braves stay in this one.

It's safe to say Olson has been the offense for Atlanta in game two of the doubleheader.

The Brave's first baseman has a real shot to be the MLB's home run leader this year as we near the end of the regular season.

Let's take a look at Olson's second homer of the ball game.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies on Monday, September 11th

Starting for Atlanta is Charlie Morton. 14-11 with a 3.32 ERA in his 27 starts, Morton's struck out 168 batters in his 151.2 innings. Uncle Charlie took a tough luck loss to the Phillies on May 27th, going 5.1 innings with only two runs allowed on seven hits and four walks, striking out nine, but not getting run support as Atlanta lost 2-1. Several Phillies have hit Morton well, most notably Alec Bohm (400 BA, 5 RBIs) and Bryce Harper (.400, 1 HR, 7 RBIs).

Opposing Atlanta is Taijuan Walker. 15-5 with a 4.15 ERA this year in his 27 starts, he's struck out 123 batters in his 147.1 innings pitched. He got a win against the Braves on May 26th, going 6.2 innings with 10 hits, one walk, and one strikeout, but allowing only three runs in a 6-4 Phillies victory.

Game two's pitching matchup is newly-activated Kyle Wright (0-1, 5.79 ERA) versus RHP Michael Lorenzen (8-9, 3.95 ERA). Lorenzen, acquired by Philadelphia at the trade deadline, faced Atlanta on June 24th while with the Tigers and got charged with six runs on nine hits in six innings, walking two and striking out three. Atlanta won the game, 6-5, after Ozzie Albies, Ronald Acuña Jr, and Eddie Rosario all took Lorenzen deep.
