WATCH: Braves’ new catcher Sean Murphy puts the league on notice; Don’t test my arm!

Atlanta’s newest man behind the plate shows off his defensive skills.

The Brave’s added Sean Murphy this offseason for moments like this:

Murphy’s pop time was 1.86 on the stole base attempt according to Statcast. Murphy’s perfect throw was only matched by Ozzie Albies perfect positioning as the Nationals are 0-1 on stolen bases today. Murphy hasn't had a hit for the Braves this season yet, but his defense is not to be questioned.

Score is currently 5-1 in the Nationals favor as the Braves make a pitching change in the fifth.

The Braves get on a plane to St. Louis this afternoon for an early season divisional leaders tilt against the Cardinals at Busch Stadium Monday. The first pitch is scheduled for 7:45 ET. Braves Today will be the go-to site for everything a Braves’ fan would want to know and @Braves_today will be doing live tweets. The game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports Southeast, and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on WIFN 1340 AM/103.7FM or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
