Braves add a jersey patch sponsorship, from Atlanta-based QUIKRETE
Joining in on the trend of jersey sponsorships, the Braves have announced that Atlanta-based QUIKRETE will have a patch on Braves jerseys on the right sleeve beginning this Friday, May 19th when the Braves take on the Seattle Mariners at Truist Park.

Those who listen to the Atlanta Braves Radio Network are already familiar with QUIKRETE, as they've been a common sponsor of the radio broadcast or a while now. This deal, ranging for five years for an unspecified dollar figure, expands that advertising relationship.
Said Quikrete Chief Executive Officer Will Magill: “We are proud to have our hometown team wear our iconic yellow bag QUIKRETE logo on their sleeve. It’s exciting to deepen our relationship with the Atlanta Braves as we work to connect with Braves Country and Major League Baseball fans through this first-of-its-kind partnership.”
I'm expecting a new ad on the radio soon with GM Alex Anthopoulos explaining that "the most important part of building a sustainable and long-lasting contender is laying down the correct foundation, and that's why I use QUIKRETE fast-setting concrete. Look for it in the red bag!"
Some fans think a concrete sponsorship is in pour taste, though, and the reality that they're not getting a Waffle House, Chick-fil-A, or Coca-Cola sponsorship may take a while to set in and cement itself in the mind of fans.
“Quikrete” has single handedly ruined the best uniforms in baseball https://t.co/pdzdwzgZXG

The Braves announcing a big, chunky sponsor patch for Quikrete on an off day is choosing violence. At least the Braves won last night.

But at least some folks understand that this isn't a big deal.
Now on to what REALLY matters. Will quikrete bags say “the official concrete of YOUR ATLANTA BRAVES” on them???

And at least one person understands the potential a sponsorship could provide:
Listen, I absolutely hate it.

BUT if they take that cash from Quikrete and use it to extend Max Fried, I can live with it.
