FanGraphs projects an incredible season for Atlanta Braves star

The Atlanta Braves standout could continue his incredible career in 2024.

The Atlanta Braves offense was insane in 2023 and could get better this year.

FanGraph's Depth Chart projections are up and the Atlanta Braves should like what they see.

Ronald Acuña Jr. is projected to be MVP again and have another incredible season at the plate. His projections in 2024 are: .318 AVG, 37 HR, 55 SB, 7.3 WAR.

"Start with the reigning National League MVP, who's projected to be … the MVP again," David Adler wrote on MLB.com. "And if Acuña puts up these numbers, he might run away with it. Acuña is projected to be the most valuable player in baseball by Wins Above Replacement, and by far the most valuable player in the NL (Mookie Betts is second at 5.9 WAR). He's also projected for another ridiculous power-speed season, and to win the MLB batting crown (just ahead of Luis Arraez). With this type of season, Acuña probably becomes the first back-to-back MVP since Miguel Cabrera in 2012 and '13."

Acuña Jr. is expected to lead off for the Atlanta Braves and should see plenty of opportunities to make a run at another MVP-type season in 2024 for the Atlanta Braves.

Other players projected to have a strong 2024 campaign are Juan Soto with his first season on the New York Yankees, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. with the Toronto Blue Jays, and Jung Hoo Lee with the Giants.

In 2023, Acuña Jr. recorded 217 hits, 41 home runs, hit .337 at the plate, and had an 8.2 WAR. This earned him a unanimous NL MVP. If he gets anywhere close to this line in 2024, the Atlanta Braves will have a shot when it's all said and done.
