Lineup, how to watch Atlanta's game two in Toronto against the Blue Jays

The Braves send Bryce Elder to the bump as they try to even up the series

Atlanta's saw a brilliant start from Spencer Strider - 6.2 IP with twelve strikeouts and only one walk - spoiled as Blue Jays starter Chris Bassitt pitched a complete game shutout and Toronto walked away with a 3-0 victory in the series opener last night.

Atlanta's out for vengeance today, looking to even up the series against Toronto in a 3:07 ET first pitch.

Lineup

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Not many changes to the lineup, except for one: Designated Hitter. Travis d'Arnaud gets the day off, with Marcell Ozuna entering the lineup, batting 7th.

Pitching Matchup

The Braves are sending Bryce Elder to the bump today. 3-0 with a 1.74 ERA in his seven starts on the season, the second-year pitcher has been a much-needed stabilizing force for a rotation missing Max Fried and Kyle Wright, who combined for sixty starts last year with a 2.83 ERA. He's never faced Toronto, and no active Blue Jay has an at-bat against him.

Opposing Atlanta is Jose Berríos. The veteran has a 3-3 record and a 4.91 ERA in his seven starts this season, with 41 strikeouts to only eight walks. He's faced the Braves exactly once, back in 2019 as a member of the Minnesota Twins, and he took the loss after 5.2 innings with nine hits and nine runs allowed. He struck out seven, walking four and serving up a leadoff homerun to Ronald Acuña Jr. Several current Braves have success against him, with Acuña being a perfect 3-3 with a HR and 2 RBIs, Ozzie Albies being 3-4 with 2 RBIs, and Matt Olson having faced him twenty times, going 6-19 with a homerun, two doubles, two RBIs, and a walk.
