Lineup, how to watch Atlanta take on the Miami Marlins without Ronald Acuña Jr on Saturday afternoon

The Braves are looking to get back in to the win column with Jared Shuster on the mound, and Ronald Acuña IS NOT in the lineup after tweaking his calf last night

The Atlanta Braves didn't have a great series opener last night in Miami: Bryce Elder and Brad Hand got shelled, Ronald Acuña Jr left the game due to an injury, and Miami took game one 9-6. But Atlanta's back at it today, with Jared Shuster on the mound facing off against Bryan Hoeing. (Thankfully, Ronald is back in the lineup today, albeit playing DH, so there's no lingering long-term effects from the calf issue that plagued him last night and caused him to get lifted from the game in the bottom of the 8th inning.)

Lineup for the Atlanta Braves on Saturday, September 16th

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Out of an abundance of caution, Atlanta's sitting Ronald Acuña Jr today to prevent any sort of aggravation of the calf injury that caused him to leave last night's game in the bottom of the 8th inning. Kevin Pillar checks in to the lineup, playing right field and batting 9th, while Michael Harris II moves up to bat leadoff in Ronald's absence.

Pitching Matchup for the Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins on Saturday, September 16th

Taking the ball for the Braves tonight is Jared Shuster. The lefty is 4-3 with a 5.26 ERA in his ten starts for Atlanta, with the Braves going 5-5 in those games. His last start in the majors was on August 27th in San Francisco, where he surrendered four runs and four hits to the Giants in 4.2 innings, walking two and striking out three. He's never faced Miami in his major league career, and no active Marlins have logged an at-bat against Shuster.

Opposing Atlanta is Bryan Hoeing. He's 2-2 with a 4.04 ERA in his 30 appearances this season (six starts). Two of those six starts have been against Atlanta, where he's 0-2 with a 13.50 ERA. The righty's allowed 11 runs on 12 hits in his 7.1 innings, including three home runs. In their careers, the quartet of Matt Olson (3-4, 2 RBIs), Austin Riley (3-4, 3 RBIs), Marcell Ozuna (1-2, 3 RBIs), and Eddie Rosario (1-3, 2 RBIs) have all taken Bryan Hoeing deep.
