Lineup, how to watch Atlanta's Tuesday night game two against the Los Angeles Dodgers

The Braves send ace Spencer Strider to the mound to try and even the series against Los Angeles and prospect flamethrower Bobby Miller, while Michael Harris gets the night off

The Atlanta Braves took some body blows in a game one loss against the Los Angeles Dodgers that felt like a postseason matchup in May. Scoring early is something this Braves team does extraordinarily well, but Los Angeles had the final say as JD Martinez hit two homeruns and Freddie Freeman went 3-5 with two runs and three RBIs in the 8-6 victory

The two teams are back at it today, with Atlanta's Spencer Strider taking on LA's Bobby Miller, who is being called up from the minors to make his MLB debut.

Atlanta Braves Lineup for Tuesday, May 23rd

Here's how the Atlanta Braves will line up for the contest:

Mostly the usual lineup tonight for Atlanta, with the exception of Michael Harris II getting the night off in centerfield. The 2nd-year outfielder, last year's Rookie of the Year in the National League, has had a tough time getting his bat started this season. He's sitting on a .163/.242/.244 across 86 at-bats this season, just a year after putting up a .297/.339/.514 and crushing righties in particular. We'll pass along any notes about if the night off is rest or to do with any sort of lingering soreness from either the knee or back injuries that Harris has dealt with this season.

UPDATE: Today's day off for Harris is to give him a mental break and is not injury-related, per reports.

Atlanta Braves vs Los Angeles Dodgers Pitching Matchup

Atlanta's sending young stud Spencer Strider to the mound. Strider's 4-1 on the season with a 2.93 ERA and a league-leading 86 strikeouts in his 51.2 innings - his 15.0 K/9 leads all of baseball, a distinction that is normally held by a reliever every year. He's faced the Dodgers exactly once in his career, going six innings with five hits, no runs, and seven strikeouts on June 26th of 2022 in a matchup that LA tied in the 9th and won in the 1th, 5-4. Catcher Will Smith has the best stats against Strider, going 2-3, while Freddie Freeman is 1-3 and David Peralta is 2-4.

Los Angeles is countering with their own flamethrower, prospect Bobby Miller. He's 1-1 with a 5.65 ERA in AAA Oklahoma City, with 12 strikeouts in 14.1 innings. MLB Pipeline has Miller listed as LA's #2 prospect, with a 70 grade fastball (on a 20-80 scale) that sits 98-99 and touches 101, as well as 65 grade slider, 60 grade changeup, and an above-average curveball. He is graded as having average control.
