Lineup, how to watch game one of the Braves series vs the Kansas City Royals

Atlanta starts a six-game road trip tonight in Kauffman Stadium against the scuffling Royals

The Atlanta Braves, fresh off of a seven-game homestand, kick off their second road trip of the year with a meeting tonight in Kansas City's Kauffman Stadium versus the AL Central's Royals.

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

New call-up Vaughn Grissom is in the lineup, playing short and batting 7th. Atlanta's taking an unusual approach to their DH issue - Eddie Rosario is in the position, batting 5th, while Kevin Pillar gets the start in left field and bats eighth.

Starting for the Braves tonight is veteran righty Charlie Morton. It's Morton's third start of the year, after facing St Louis on the opening road trip and San Diego at home earlier this week. He's 1-1 on the season so far, with a 4.35 ERA in 10.1 innings with five walks and seven strikeouts.

In his career versus the Royals, Morton is 1-2 with a 4.44 ERA and 25 strikeouts in 24.1 total innings. He's faced them with each of his three previous teams, Pittsburgh, Houston, and Tampa, and tonight will make it all four of the teams he's played for in his career.

Opposing Morton is RHP Brady Singer. The 26 year-old, a 2018 1st round pick, has never faced Atlanta in his professional career. He's currently 1-0 on the season with a 4.91 ERA in eleven innings, spanning starts against the Blue Jays and Giants with seven strikeouts to three walks.

The Royals are looking to steal a home series away from the NL East-leading Braves. They're currently 4th in the AL Central at 4-9, just half a game up on the Detroit Tigers for last place, and have yet to win a series on the season.

The game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports Southeast, and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
