Lineup, how to watch the Atlanta Braves series finale against the St. Louis Cardinals

Atlanta's already won the series and they're going for the sweep this afternoon in the finale

Atlanta wraps up a six game road trip to Washington and St. Louis with their second series win and a chance for a sweep as they take on the St. Louis Cardinals today in a getaway day afternoon special.

Here's how the Braves will line up for the contest:

Against a right-handed pitcher, Atlanta goes back to the combination of Eddie Rosario in left field and Marcell Ozuna (who is 1-14 with a home run on the season) at DH. Travis d'Arnuad, who has been on an absolute heater to open the season - 10-22 with a league-leading three doubles and four RBIs - gets his six start of the year and third behind the plate.

Working in front of that defense will be RHP Bryce Elder. A 5th round pick of the Braves in 2020's shortened MLB Draft out of the University of Texas, Elder started ten games for Atlanta in 2022, going 2-4 with a 3.17 ERA. He struck out 47 batters in his 54 innings, walking 23 and allowing four homeruns. He's never faced the Cardinals, with his major league starts being primarily divisional matchups against Washington (2-0) and Miami (0-2). Notably, he pitched a complete game shutout on September 26th against the Nationals, allowing six hits but no runs with one walk and six strikeouts on 106 pitches in a 8-0 Braves victory.

Elder started last Friday's Opening Day game for AAA Gwinnett, going six innings with five hits, four runs, and one walk to four strikeouts against the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp, with no decision. Atlanta went on to win the game via Braden Shewmake walkoff homerun in the ninth inning.

Pitching for the Cardinals is Opening Day starter Miles Mikolas. The veteran righty is 0-0 on the season with a 13.50 ERA after he was tagged for ten hits and five runs by the Toronto Blue Jays on Opening Day, lasting only 3.1 innings. In his career against Atlanta, Mikolas is 1-3 in five total appearances (four starts), pitching 26.2 innings with an 3.04 ERA and twenty strikeouts. He's only faced Atlanta once since 2019, a July start in Truist Park last summer where he went six innings with five hits, three runs, one walk and four strikeouts while allowing solo home runs to both Marcell Ozuna and Eddie Rosario in a 3-0 Braves victory.

First pitch from Busch Stadium is at 1:15 PM ET. The game broadcast, with Voice of the Braves Brandon Gaudin, is available inside Braves Country on Bally Sports South and is available on MLB.TV outside of the broadcast area. The radio call, with Ben Ingram, is available locally on 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan or outside the Atlanta market on the Atlanta Braves Radio Network or MLB.com.
