The Atlanta Braves have 3 starters for the 2023 All-Star Game

Joining Ronald Acuña Jr in Seattle for the Midsummer Classic will be Orlando Arcia and Sean Murphy

Major League Baseball announced the starters for the 2023 All-Star Game on Thursday night, live on ESPN.

OF Ronald Acuña Jr is locked in as a starter, thanks to leading the National League (and all of baseball) in total votes in the 1st round of fan voting. It is his fourth All-Star selection.

Orlando Arcia won the 2nd round of fan voting at shortstop, coming in with 69% of the vote to Francisco Lindor's 31% and being announced the starter at his position. It is his 1st career All-Star selection.

Sean Murphy beat out Will Smith of the Dodgers, by a 61% to 39% vote margin, to be the starting National League catcher. It is Murphy's first All-Star selection.

Four other Braves were the runners-up at their position, with Matt Olson, Ozzie Albies, and Austin Riley all coming in 2nd place and likely (but not guaranteed) All-Stars.

[Vote totals: At first base, Matt Olson (40%) lost out to Los Angeles Dodgers' Freddie Freeman (60%), at second base, Ozzie Albies (47%) lost out to Luis Arraez of the Miami Marlins (53%), at third base, Austin Riley (43%) lost out to St. Louis Cardinals' Nolan Arenado (57%), and in the outfield, Michael Harris II (19%) came in 4th place to Mookie Betts of the Dodgers (34%), and Corbin Carroll of the Arizona Diamondbacks (30%). Fellow Arizona outfielder Lourdes Gurriel was in 5th, at 16%.]

The 2023 All-Star Game will be on July 11th from Seattle's T-Mobile Park.
