WATCH: Brian Snitker gets ejected from tonight's Cubs game because the umpires missed a call

Snitker came out to argue an egregiously wrong call, and because it wasn't reviewable, he was tossed

Former Atlanta Braves manager Bobby Cox holds the MLB record for ejections, with the famously hot-tempered manager getting tossed a record 162 times.

Brian Snitker learned from the best.

After tonight's umpiring crew for Braves-Cubs egregiously missed a call and Brian Snitker came out to argue, he got tossed.

Here's the problem: He was RIGHT.

The ruling on the field was a passed ball on Sean Murphy, a costly error that allowed the Cubs to tie the game at one.

It was clearly wrong. The ball hit the bat, and the umpires never corrected it after huddling up to discuss the situation.

The issue is that foul ball calls behind the plate are not reviewable, by rule - only possibly foul balls that land beyond the 1st/3rd base bags are the ones that are reviewable.

Snit came out to ask for the obvious mistake to be corrected, and it wasn't. And Snit was ejected for Shane Livensparger's mistake.
