WATCH: Marcell Ozuna hits a home run to give the Braves the early lead

The Braves have a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning thanks to May's hottest hitter, Marcell Ozuna

Trying to avenge a series-opening loss on Friday night, Marcell Ozuna came out with a vengeance on Saturday. In the 3rd inning, he hit a high fly ball into the Chop House to give the Braves a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the third inning.

It’s a good sign to see Ozuna hit an opposite field home run. He seems to be seeing the ball much better as of late. Ozuna had a nine pitch at bat and fouled off three balls with two strikes before hitting the home run.

It's been well documented that Ozuna began the year off ice-cold, but he hit really well on the most recent road trip in Miami - 6-13 with three home runs and six total RBIs. His composure at the plate is noticeably better in the last two series and if Ozuna can continue to hit with power, he adds even more depth to an already very deep Braves lineup.

With the Miami success, he's raised his season slashline entering tonight to .147/.256/.360.
